At Youth Voices Action (YVA), we believe that every young person has something important to say, even if they don't know it yet.

YVA works alongside rangatahi throughout Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty. We believe every young person has something valuable to say, and we support them to speak with confidence and be part of real change.

We are a youth charity that connects the youth sector in our region - young people, whānau, schools, iwi, councils, organisations and services across Bay of Plenty. Our mahi strengthens collaboration, reduces silos, and makes it easier for partners to support youth.

We amplify youth voice and make sure it reaches the places where decisions are made - in classrooms, communities, and around the tables that shape the future of Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty.

If you’re working with rangatahi, you already know they have strong ideas and real insight. But it’s easy to miss the youth who aren’t already speaking up. We help you connect with those voices and bring their perspectives into your mahi.

We support organisations, schools, iwi, councils, and services across our region to engage with youth in meaningful and practical ways. Together, we make sure rangatahi shape programmes, influence decisions, and feel seen in the communities they live in around Tauranga.
